74 QMJHL players off to NHL training camps

BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, September 16, 2008 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is proud to announce that 74 players will attend National Hockey League training camps in the month of September.

Among the 74 players, 50 are NHL draftees while 24 have been invited to camp as free agents.

Seventeen of the League's eighteen teams have at least one representative off to camp. The Shawinigan Cataractes and the Quebec Remparts have the most players attending NHL training camps with seven each. The Lewiston MAINEiacs, Rimouski Océanic, Saint John Sea Dogs and Val-d'Or Foreurs follow closely with six each.
