Coulee Region Chill News Release
Brogan Rafferty, a defenseman from West Dundee, IL, was selected in the 2nd round (30th overall) by the Bloomington Thunder. Rafferty played for the Chill the past 2 seasons where he accumulated 7 goals and 47 assists in 108 games. He recently made an NCAA DI commitment to Quinnipiac University for the 2016-17 season. Â
Phil Erickson, a Coulee Region Chill tender, was drafted in the 11th round (169th overall) by the Waterloo Black Hawks. Erickson played in 6 games with the Chill this past season as an affiliate player getting the game winning goal against rival Austin Bruins.
Chad Sasaki, also a Chill tender, was drafted in the 18th round (284th overall) by the Sioux Falls Stampede. Sasaki spent this past season playing for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks U16 program where he tallied 3 goals and 18 assists in 20 games played. Â
The Coulee Region Chill will be hosting a pre-draft camp May 22-24th at Green Island Ice Arena in La Crosse, WI, as well as a pre-draft camp in Atlanta, GA, May 29-31. The NAHL Draft will be held on June 9th.
