New Orleans VooDoo News Release

NEW ORLEANS (June 13, 2012) - Earlier this week, we sat down with New Orleans VooDoo Doll Tia for this week's "21 Questions with a VooDoo Doll" segment brought to you by Arata and Arata Law Offices. Tia is in her fifth season as a VooDoo Doll. Each and every game week, a VooDoo Doll will be featured, and this is the 13th installment of the 2012 season.

If you could be any Disney princess who would it be and why:

I would be Princess Tiana for all the obvious reasons. She's smart, independent, and a native to this great city that I call home.

Best thing about being a Voodoo Doll:

Performing at the games!!! The rush of dancing on the field is like no other.

Favorite New Orleans restaurant:

There's so many to choose from!! This is the best city to be a foodie. It definitely depends on what mood I'm in and what diet I'm on. The tops are Mondo, Cow Bell, Munch Factory, and Rum House.

What advice would you give to young girls:

Be yourself. I've wasted many years worrying about what other people thought of me. And at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is what you think of yourself. So, sing like no one is listening, dance like no one is watching, and dress in whatever fashion that makes you happy.

Favorite New Orleans festival:

French Quarter festival is my favorite because it's free. But just leave the grounds after everything is over. I learned that the hard way. Rats from far and wide come out to enjoy all the food we drop on the ground. So gross!!!

Favorite late-night snack:

My favorite late night snack is the Orville Redenbacher Natural popcorn. It's the snack bag size of the Lime and Salt flavor.

Favorite clothing store:

J Crew, you can get classic staples in your wardrobe that aren't just hot trends of the moment.

Favorite reality show:

Dance Mom's! The dancers on that show are amazing.

Favorite brand of makeup:

That's so hard, because I'm a sucker for makeup. I would say MAC and Makeup forever are my top two at the moment.

Favorite song to listen to over and over:

The song "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. That's the best song to belt out over and over again when you're all alone.

What is your ideal first date:

Any that doesn't end with me pretending to be sick or getting a fake emergency phone call.

What is your pre-game ritual:

I usually make the time just before the game a point of relaxation. So, I usually, work out, maybe run a few errands, and definitely coffee is involved.

Favorite holiday:

My favorite holiday is Halloween. I love dressing up, and playing different characters.

Favorite season:

Springtime in New Orleans is by far my favorite. It's filled with crawfish, warm weather, snow balls, festivals, and the VooDoo season.

Tell us about a life changing moment for you have had:

Having my son has been by far the biggest life changing moment. And I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Favorite all-time movie:

"Steel Magnolias" is my all-time favorite movie. I know it verbatim.

If you could go on a date with Bones or MoJo, who would it be:

Bones. Not sure MoJo can fit in my car, and I feel he would leave hair all over the place.

Favorite female celebrity and why:

Reese Witherspoon. She's smart, witty, and known for her style and talent and not for being in tabloids.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be:

At this moment, I would love to go to Bora Bora. I'm in need of an exotic vacation.

Facebook or Twitter:

Facebook, because I'm more comfortable with it; I'm new to tweeting and the Twitter world.

Destiny's Child's Beyonce or Beyonce now:

Beyonce now. Where would the world be without "Single Ladies"?
