Players' Player of the Year
Hamish Dalzell
A special reward voted by his peers for putting in shift after shift; always in the thick of it and laying the platform up front. Heck of a first year in New York for #Ironworker81
Ironworker Award
Dylan Fawsitt, For Putting it Together Every Game
The Butcher was everywhere this season, putting on hits, scoring and setting up tries, and even kicking a 50/22. Heck of a campaign for #Ironworker03
Cowboy in the Sky Award
Kaleb Geiger, For Changing the Skyline
The Sheriff moved from Hooker to Tighthead midseason and nailed it, consistently gaining meters and putting on tackle after tackle throughout the year. Brilliant season for #Ironworker74
Apprentice of the Year
Monate Akuei, For Making an Impact On the New Job
An award dedicated to an Ironworker in their first season of pro rugby, our 2023 Apprentice of the Year is Monate.
Monate exploded onto the scene midseason and instantly brought his unmatched energy, speed, and dynamic play to the team. Terrific first shift for #Ironworker91
Superstructure Award
Sam Windsor, For Holding it All Together
An accolade dedicated to outstanding contributions both on and off the field; holding it all together all season. A well-deserved reward for an MLR legend. #Ironworker68
Blacksmith Award
Ishmail Shabazz, For Getting the Steel Ready
This accolade recognizes Ish's unmatched dedication, from training to gym, all the way to game day; preparing the team and forging the steel for the entire squad. #Ironworker78
Walking the Steel Award
Jason Emery, For Showing Us the Right Way
This is an accolade dedicated to an Ironworker for showing us the right way; and game after game, he did just that. Steering the team around the field, setting up and scoring tries, making tackles and putting his body on the line. What a season for #Ironworker69
