Here's a closer look behind the numbers from the 2019 MLL Season and an in-depth view on the final regular season leaderboards for players and teams. The league's 19th season has been one for the record books, ending with many new all-time records set by both individual players and teams.

New All-Time MLL Season Records

With the 2019 MLL season coming to a close, we can see new records broken throughout the season, made by both individual players and teams as a whole, taking place over a single-season or having accumulated over a player or team's whole career.

PLAYERS

In his comeback season, John Grant Jr. has further solidified himself as an MLL legend, climbing up multiple leaderboards this season. He just topped the All-Time Points record with 581 total points throughout his career, extended his current record of most All-Time Goals to 354 career goals, and has reached 4th of most Games Played in the league, with 150 total games played over 14 total seasons playing in the league.

Rob Pannell has also broken into a few all-time career leaderboards, currently sitting at 6th on the All-Time Points leaders (430 career points) and 6th on the All-Time Assists leaders (192 career assists), scoring 63 points and 29 assists this season.

          

Dillon Ward, Denver's star goalie, has only allowed 2 2-point goals over all 15 games played this season, leading Denver to tie for 4th or least Team 2-Point Goals Allowed in a season.

Austin Kaut leads the New York Lizards in 2-pt Goals this season, along with Rob Pannell (with 1 2-pt goal) despite being the team's goalie and it being his sole Shot on Goal throughout the entire season. He has also picked up one assist, a feat done by no other goalie during the 2019 season.

Lyle Thompson had a major break-out season, scoring at least 2 goals in every game played, breaking several MLL scoring records. He has made the all-time Single-Season Points leaderboard, reaching 3rd place with 73 points. Also, he tied for 5th place in all-time Single-Season Goals with 46 goals.

Chris Aslanian, a 2019 Cascade Rookie of the Year nominee, stacked up 42 points (22 goals & 20 assists) in his debut season with Denver and has reached 3rd on the all-time Points by a Rookie and 3rd on the all-time Assists by a Rookie leaderboards.

Max Adler has risen to 3rd on the Single-Season Faceoff Wins leaderboard, with 256 wins, averaging over 17 faceoff wins per game. Alex Woodall finished just behind Adler this season, with 255 faceoff wins, placing him at 4th place, which is also the most faceoff wins in a season by a rookie.

TEAMS

Atlanta and Chesapeake have both converted on power plays 44% of the time this season for 22 total Man-Up Goals, the highest conversion rate over the past 5 seasons.

Since 2015, The 2019 Denver Outlaws team has scored the most single-season 2-point goals with 15 2-point goals throughout the season. Andrew Newbold and Brandon Jones, both of whom are defensemen, have lead the team with 5 and 2 2-point goals, respectively.

Chesapeake has lead the league in Team Shots on Goal this season with 441 total SOG, beating their all-time franchise record for most Single-Season Shots on Goal.

Atlanta has the highest Single-Season Shooting Percentage of any team within the past 10 years in the MLL, scoring 35.6% of all shots made during the regular season.

Denver has won 58.5% of all faceoffs so far this season, led by the team's lead faceoff specialist Max Adler, which is the highest since the 2017 season when the New York Lizards won 60.1% of faceoffs taken.

The Atlanta Blaze have had a historic season, leading the MLL in Goals during the regular season with 229, breaking the all-time record for most Team Goals Scored in a single-season. This has been a long-standing record in MLL history, as the previous record was set by the Baltimore Bayhawks (a predecessor of Chesapeake) in 2005 with 227 goals.

Atlanta has also broken the All-Time Team Assists Record with 157 team assists this season, destroying the previous record by 27 assists, set in 2008 by the Rochester Rattlers (130 team assists).

2019 Season: Home & Away Record is 20-28

This season, the Home Team Winning Percentage has been only at 41.7% this season with the Home Team winning 20 of the 48 games played this season. This is the lowest Home Team Winning Percentage since the 2011 season. This is the lowest over the past 8 seasons, as all of these previous seasons had the Home Teams winning over 50% of the season's games. Denver is the only team with a winning record at home this season (5-3).
