Baltimore, MD (Jan. 25, 2016) - In one of the most highly anticipated events of the offseason, Major League Lacrosse held its 16th Annual Collegiate Draft during Laxcon in Baltimore, MD on Friday, January 22nd.
Heading into the draft, the New York Lizards had six selections to make but their first would not come until the third round - a pick acquired from the Hounds during a Supplemental Draft trade that sent Goalie Charlie Cipriano to Charlotte. New York would make another selection in the fourth round, two in the fifth, and one in the sixth and eighth rounds.
With Head Coach Joe Spallina's first pick of the night, he went for none other than University of Virginia Attackman, James Pannell - and brother of Lizards All-Star Attackman, Rob Pannell.
