San Jose, CA - Members of the 2015 San Jose Giants will join Giants coaches and fans for the 7th Annual San Jose Giants FanFest at Municipal Stadium on Tuesday, April 7 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It will be the first opportunity for fans and media to meet and see the 2015 roster and coaching staff. The team will also unveil the 2015 Military Trading Card Set and a few members of the set are anticipated to be in attendance. Fans will also have the opportunity to watch the team practice, purchase 2015 merchandise and play in the Family Fun Zone. Admission and parking are FREE.
"We are thrilled to be able to continue this wonderful preseason tradition with our fans," said Juliana Paoli, San Jose Giants Chief Marketing Officer. "FanFest started as an opportunity to interact with players like Madison Bumgarner and Buster Posey, who later became some of our first Homegrown Champions. Each and every year, this event represents an exciting opportunity to meet the next stars of the Giants organization."
Russ Morman, the new manager of the San Jose Giants, along with his players and coaches, will be available to sign autographs, pose for pictures and answer questions from fans as part of a "Meet and Greet" that begins at 5:15 PM.
"FanFest marks the beginning of a brand new season of San Jose Giants baseball," said Daniel Orum, San Jose Giants President and CEO. "We are excited for our fans to welcome Russ Morman to the San Jose Giants, meet the players, and see the multiple improvements to Municipal Stadium, highlighted by the brand new City National Futures Club. San Jose Giants FanFest will have something to get every fan energized for the 2015 season."
For the fifth straight season, the San Jose Giants are offering fans the special opportunity to take part in the exclusive 2015 Season Preview Media Event starting at 4:00 PM prior to FanFest. This year, the San Jose Giants are excited to announce that this event will be held in the brand new City National Futures Club, one of the many offseason additions to Municipal Stadium. Fans will get to sit in on a press conference that is scheduled to feature San Francisco Giants Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer and the President of the San Jose Giants Executive Board Bill Schlough, the coaching staff, and select players from the 2015 roster. First pitch for the San Jose Giants home opener will take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 16 against the Bakersfield Blaze. San Jose's 2015 season begins on Thursday, April 9.
