2014 Prospect League Divisional Series Set

Quincy Gems News Release


With one game to go in the Prospect League Regular Season, the Divisional Series have been settled when the Quincy Gems defeated the Hannibal Cavemen last evening, the Gems taking the final open spot, the West Division 2nd Half Championship.

The Gems will take on the 1st Half Champions Danville Dans. Game One will be played in Quincy at 6:35 Wednesday evening. Game One in the East will be at Butler as the BlueSox host 1st Half winner Chillicothe at 6:35 pm.

Each series will move to the 1st Half Champs' ballparks on Thursday and Friday, if necessary. Butler at Chillicothe, Game Time TBA and Quincy at Danville with a 6:30 PM start

Chillicothe Game One "" Jason Byers (Marietta College/Sophomore)

Butler Game One "" Ben Hartz (Buffalo/Sophomore)

Butler Game Two "" Adam Bleday (Virginia/Freshman)

Quincy "" Game One "" Jake Busiek (Arkansas Little Rock/Junior)

Danville Game One "" Mark Hendrick (Austin Peay/Sophomore)

Danville Game Two "" Chase Thurston (Eastern Illinois/Freshman)

Danville Game Three ""Trevor Sutton (Memphis/Freshman) (if necessary)

The 2014 PL Championship Series will begin Sunday, August 10 at the West Division Winner, following an off day on August 9.

Game two will be played August 12 at East Division Winner

Game three will be played August 13, if necessary, at East Division Winner
