2013 Nighthawks Schedule Released

KNOXVILLE, TN (September 21, 2012) - The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) announced their 2013 schedule earlier this week and the Nighthawks have several great matchups coming to the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum. Nighthawks fans also have a lot to look forward to in the month of October as more exciting announcements are coming!
Schedule highlights for 2013 include the addition of the Charlotte Speed (Managed by former Oakland Raider and Florida Gator Mo Collins) and Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. The NightHawks will play each team at least once as we play 12 games over a 15-week regular season. Opening weekend is March 8th -10th with the Hawks playing on the road in Georgia at Columbus. Our first home game will come on Easter weekend, Saturday March 30th as the intense rivalry with the Richmond Raiders will be renewed.
Other home game notes for the 2013 season include:
April 5th, the defending PIFL Champion Albany Panthers, who had a battle in the Coliseum on their last visit, make their trip to Knoxville.
May 11th Knoxville gets their first visit from the other Hawks - the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks swoop into town and we'll see who gains air superiority.
June 7th Charlotte makes its first appearance in Knoxville, but Mo Collins has been here before. There's some unfinished business with that former Gator!
June 15th Its time to battle BAMA! The Hammers come to town to wrap up the regular season.
