BOSTON, MA - Tuesday,September 6, 2011- The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced today that season ticket packages for the 2012 MLL season go on sale today at 10:00am, according to Cannons General Manager Kevin Barney. The Cannons will return to MLL action in the spring of 2012 for the first time as defending MLL Champions. Five season ticket package options are available for 2012, starting as low as $84 for all seven Cannons regular season home games.
"The Cannons just won their first MLL Championship, and we are excited to announce season ticket options for the 2012 season," said Barney. "We have the best fans in Major League Lacrosse and we are providing more seating options in 2012, allowing us to offer season tickets for as low as $84 each. Tailgating and the free Fan Zone will continue to be a highlight, along with watching the Champion Boston Cannons defending their title."
The Cannons are offering the first 1,000 fans a free commemorative Boston Cannons 2011 MLL Championship Lacrosse Ball with each season ticket purchased. A discount on season tickets is also available for all fans that purchase by November 30th.New for 2012, season tickets are available in all five seating categories. Season ticket holders also have the option of purchasing a season parking pass for only $35, a 50% discount off the day of game rate. Season ticket holders will not only have the best seats at Harvard Stadium, they will be invited to Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day, which includes a meet and greet with Cannons players and coaches and other special amenities.
For the lacrosse fan that wants to be where the action is, the Sideline Club will once again provide seating along the east sideline of Harvard Stadium.Fans will have a custom Cannons cushioned seat only 10 feet from the field and will receive special benefits including private visits from coaches and players after each home game. Sideline Club seats will also be discounted through November 30th at $350 per seat. The Sideline Club was sold out in 2011 and the seating is limited for the 2012 season.
The Boston Cannons will begin their defense of the 2011 MLL Championship next spring with a team that currently features the 2011 Championship Weekend MVP, Jordan Burke, the 2011 MLL Coach of the Year, Bill Daye, and the past three seasons' Bud Light MLL Most Valuable Players in Paul Rabil (2011 & 2009) and Matt Poskay (2010).
