2012-13 NBL Canada Season Schedule Released

(TORONTO, ON) The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce the official release of the 2012-2013 Regular Season schedule. NBL Canada's opening night will be Friday, November 2nd.
"We're truly excited to get the 2012-2013 season underway", said NBL Canada President & CEO Andre Levingston. "Our fans can enjoy more games this year with our new 40-game schedule. With Windsor getting its formal introduction to professional basketball, and London looking to defend their championship position, this season will be action packed."
The marquee matchup of NBL Canada's Opening Weekend will be a championship series rematch of the London Lighting against the Halifax Rainmen on Saturday night, November 3rd at the Budweiser Gardens formerly named the John Labatt Centre.
"The Lightning organization can't wait to get going and there isn't a better way to do that than opening at home against the Halifax Rainmen", said London Lightning GM Taylor Brown. "As a result of the first season, we have developed a great rivalry with Halifax and our fans truly look forward to each and every game against the Rainmen. It should be another competitive year and November 3rd should make for an incredible environment at the Budweiser Gardens."
With the newly formed Central & Atlantic divisions, rivalries renewed & created, it certainly shapes up to be an exciting second season of the National Basketball League of Canada.
