2010 Schedule Released

December 30, 2009 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) News Release


Canton, Ohio - The Continental Indoor Football League has released its 2010 schedule, the fifth anniversary for the league.

Columbus (OH) and Cincinnati (OH) will host opening weekend games for the CIFL. The Commandos play host to the Miami Valley Silverbacks on Saturday, March 13 and the Columbus Aces play their opener against the Chicago Cardinals on Sunday, March 14 at the Coliseum on the Ohio State Fairgrounds. Each team will complete a ten game schedule, playing six home games and four on the road. The exception is the Wisconsin Wolfpack as they will play five home and five away.

The Wisconsin Wolfpack opens March 13 at Columbus. The Wolfpack home opener is April 3. Wisconsin will play at the Hartmeyer Arena in Madison, Wisconsin.

Fort Wayne (IN) opens up the season March 27 at the Odeum Sports and Expo Center in Villa Park, Illinois against the Chicago Cardinals. The Firehawks welcome Cincinnati to Memorial Coliseum for their home opener on Friday April 2.

Cincinnati will host a special CIFL doubleheader May 15 at the historic Cincinnati Gardens. The Commandos host Chicago while Miami Valley and Wisconsin will play in the early game. Game times for the doubleheader are to be determined.

Miami Valley will compete as a travel team; all their games will be played on the road. The Silverbacks will be the designated home team during the doubleheader game in Cincinnati against the Wolfpack.

All Friday and Saturday games kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Sunday games are set for 2 p.m. unless otherwise noted throughout the season.
