
2010 Eastern League Schedule Released

PORTLAND, MAINE - The Eastern League of Professional Baseball Clubs, Inc., has released the schedule for the 2010 season. Opening Day for the 2010 Eastern League season will be on Thursday, April 8th. The clubs opening at home on that date are Altoona, Binghamton, Bowie, New Britain, Reading and Trenton. The remaining six clubs (Akron, Erie, Harrisburg, New Hampshire, Portland and Richmond) will play their first home game of the season on Thursday, April 15th. The final day of the 142 game regular season will be Monday, September 6th with the Eastern League playoffs scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 8th.
Among the highlights on the 2010 schedule is the 2010 Eastern League All-Star Game, which will be played on Wednesday, July 14th at Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This marks the first time the Harrisburg Senators have hosted an Eastern League All-Star Game since the 1988 season.
"We are very excited to release the 2010 schedule and are looking forward to providing fans with the affordable family entertainment they have come to expect from our clubs once again starting next April," said Eastern League President Joseph McEacharn.
