Philadelphia KiXX News Release

Philadelphia, PA, January 29, 2009 - The Philadelphia KiXX announced today that online registration for the 2009 Philadelphia KiXX Summer Kamp program will be available beginning on Sunday, February 1, 2009. The online registration webpage can be accessed by clicking on the Camps menu option located on the top bar of the team's official website, www.kixxonline.com.

The summer camp program, which opens in mid-June and runs through late August, is designed for boys and girls (ages four to 14) with approximately 40 locations offered throughout the Tri-State area. The 2009 program offers five different camp options: day, evening, tot, travel team, and goalkeeper-specific. Day camps operate from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, while evening camps will operate from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Day and evening camps will feature new and improved curriculum this summer with more focus on technical and tactical training both individually and as a team. Tot programs introduce the game of soccer to the younger player, ages 4-5, and run in conjunction with all day and evening camps. Travel team camps feature advanced training for full teams only and generally operate with evening hours. The 2009 summer camp program also includes a few select goalkeeper specific locations that are directed by KiXX all-star netminder Peter Pappas.

Each site offers the area youth the opportunity to learn directly from the professionals, with an approximate 15:1 ratio of campers to instructors. KiXX player/coach Don D'Ambra serves as the overall camp director, while team captain Pat Morris and Pappas serve as individual site directors. Other team members that will provide instruction throughout the summer include Assistant Coach Adam Bruckner, David Castellanos, Kevin Coleman, Joe Di Buono, Anthony Maher, Matthew Maher, Hewerton Moreira, Ptah Myers, John Barry Nusum, Jeremy Ortiz, Ricardinho, Angel Rivillo, Clay Roberts, and Steve Wacker.

In addition to professional instruction from members of the Philadelphia KiXX, each participant in the summer camp program receives a certificate of participation, an official camp t-shirt and soccer ball, a voucher to the 2009-10 KiXX home opener, and additional amenities.
