ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football (UIF) league announced today that they have signed a partnership agreement with WTVO-17 and WQRF/FOX-39 for the 2007 season.
"We were pleased to support the Raptors last season as Central Division Champions and are thrilled to enhance the partnership for 2007," said station General Manager Marshall Porter. "We are looking forward to providing the most complete and comprehensive coverage of the 2007 season to the Rock River Community."
The agreement allows the Raptors to grow strong brand awareness, as well as increase fan support across the community. Look for unique and exciting stories coming from the sports crew of Scott Leber and Vince Conway, as well as the rest of the WTVO-17 and FOX-39 team.
"The WTVO and FOX team has been there for us since I came on in July. They really stepped up to help us promote the playoff game in our 2006 season, which led to the 2006 Central Division Championship," stated General Manager Tom Crow. "In our off season preparations, WTVO and FOX has provided great assistance in showing the strength of the Raptors organization and our determination to take the title in 2007."
Remember to come out and join us for our (pre-season) try outs on Nov. 19 at the Metro Centre (300 Elm St., Rockford, Ill, 61101) and see WTVO's very own Vince Conway try out for the Raptors Championship team. The event is free to the public and new fall season merchandise will be available. There will also be an authentic jersey auction.
