
2006 Pacific Coast League schedule unveiled

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Pacific Coast League has released its 2006 championship schedule, which once again features a 144-game format in which each team plays its conference rivals 16 times and faces its inter-conference foes in one four-game series. Opening Day for the 2006 season will Thursday, April 6th with inter-conference action.
A marquee point of the campaign will again be the Triple-A All-Star Game, this year scheduled for Wednesday, July 12th at Fifth Third Field, home of the International League's Toledo Mud Hens.
While the regular season finale takes place on Labor Day, September 4th, PCL fans will be treated to another two weeks of baseball with two best-of-five conference championship series beginning on September 6th and a best-of-five League championship series beginning September 12th.
