- A number of familiar faces grace the lineups of each conference. Travis Clayton (Wichita), Bernie John (Corpus Christi) and Don Parsons make their sixth CHL All Star appearances, while Mark DeSantis plays in his fifth (including the 2001 WPHL game).

- John and Parsons are playing in their sixth consecutive All-Star tilts, while Clayton missed the 2004 and 2001 contest.

- Sebastien Thinel and Derek Landmesser are playing in their fourth consecutive CHL All-Star Game.

- Making their third consecutive All-Star Game appearance are Derek Hahn, Scott Reid, and Greg Pankewicz.

- Colorado's Greg Pankewicz set a CHL All-Star Record last year in Laredo with a five-goal, nine-point performance. His Northern Conference club tied a CHL record last year with 14 goals besting the South in a shootout.

HISTORY

- Since the North/South format was adopted for the 2002 CHL All-Star Game, the North has taken three of the four games outscoring the South 39-36. The South's only win was a 10-6 final in 2003 at Oklahoma City.

- Only once has the game gone to a shootout or overtime (last season) and only once have both teams posted double-digit goals (last season, 14-13).

- The CHL and the former West Coast Hockey League played two interlocking All-Star Games (2000, 2001). Each league posted a victory.

- This is the fourth All-Star Game since the CHL and WPHL merged in May, 2001. The CHL has held an All-Star Game since 1998, while the WPHL held All-Star contests from 1997-2001.

- The WPHL format for the 2000 and 2001 All-Star Game was Texas vs. World. Texas won in 2000 with a 10-6 final, but the World rallied in 2001 with a 9-8 shootout victory. The other three WPHL All-Star Games were an East vs. West format. The West won two of the three.
