Rio Grande Valley > advances to face the > Laredo Bucks while Amarillo squares off against the Odessa Jackalopes in > the > two Southern > Conference Semi-Final series'. In the Northern Conference, the Colorado > Eagles begin defense > of their 2004-2005 championship against the Oklahoma City Blazers, while > the > Bossier-Shreveport > Mudbugs and Wichita Thunder face off for their third playoff meeting in as > many seasons. > > > > Highlighted by 53 sellouts in 2005-2006, the CHL's regular season average > attendance climbed to > 4,663 per game, a 4.1 % increase from 2004-2005, and the CHL's highest > average attendance since > the 1995-1996 season. Colorado enjoyed sellouts at all 32 regular season > games, extending their > "AA" record to 94 consecutive games at the 5,289 seat Budweiser Events > Center. > > > > On March 25th the Oklahoma City Blazers established a new single game CHL > attendance record > with 17,826 packed into the Ford Center, finishing the season with a > CHL-best average of 8,609 > per game.
