14ers Playoff Tickets On Sale Saturday

Broomfield, Colo. - The Colorado 14ers announced today that single-game tickets for the first round of the 2009 NBA Development League Playoffs will go on sale this Saturday (April 4) at 10 a.m.

The 14ers currently have the best record in the D-League with seven games to play in the regular season, and have set a new franchise record for wins this season.

"I'm thrilled to have our organization in the playoffs and it's a great accomplishment on our team's part," said 14ers Head Coach and General Manager Bob MacKinnon. "I'm excited for our fans to come out and see what is currently the best team in the D-League compete for a championship."

The NBA D-League has adopted a unique playoff format this season that will allow the three division winners to pick their first round opponents from the 5-8 seeds in the postseason. The first round begins the week of April 13.

Playoff ticket prices remain the same as the regular season featuring $5 kids tickets (12 years and under) and $10 student tickets (with ID). Adult tickets range from $14-$44.

Tickets will be available at www.Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 800-745-3000, all Ticketmaster Outlets and the Broomfield Event Center box office. For group tickets call (303) 465-HOOP (4667). Broomfield residents (with ID) can also come to the box office for a special $5 ticket price for the first round game.

The 14ers are in action tonight at Iowa and tomorrow at Tulsa before closing out the regular season home schedule against Albuquerque on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

About the NBA Development League: The NBA Development League, founded in 2001, is the NBA's official minor league and features 16 teams with direct affiliations to NBA teams for the 2008-09 season. An expansion team will begin play in Portland, Maine for the 2009-10 season.
