
11 Umps Now in Affiliated Leagues

Eleven former Central League umpires are working in the National Association this year. Gregory Chittenden is umpiring in the Triple-A Pacific Coast League, five are working in Single-A, four are in rookie ball and one is awaiting an assignment.
"The Central League has become a launching point to affiliated ball for young umpires. It's become well-respected at umpire schools and that helps us attract better candidates," umpire supervisor Kevin Winn said. "Now talented guys want to work here and it's great to see them follow their dreams.
