
1000 Islands Outlasts Dayton

Watertown, NY - The game between the 1000 Islands Privateers and the Dayton Demonz was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end 1000 Islands emerged with a 4-2 win.
The Privateers gained the by CouponDropDown" id"_GPLITA_0">winning advantage on a goal by Corey Belisle 13:15 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.
Belisle was all over the ice for 1000 Islands, as he grabbed two goals in the win.
Adam McAllister also scored for 1000 Islands. More assists for 1000 Islands came via Peter Campbell, who had two and Nick LaPorte, Sean Walsh, and Alex Redmond, who contributed one a piece.
Dayton was helped by Ahmed Mahfouz, who racked up two goals. Mahfouz scored the first of his two goals shorthanded at 16:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dayton. The Demonz found themselves down a man on Jesse Felten 's tripping. Trevor Karasiewicz picked up the assist. Mahfouz's by CouponDropDown" id"_GPLITA_1">next tally short handed made the score 3-2 1000 Islands with 1:59 left in the third period. Nicholas Petriello assisted on the tally.
Matt Anthony rejected 33 shots on goal for 1000 Islands. Jeff Rose made 29 saves for Dayton on 32 shots.
