EDMONTON, AB - FC Edmonton (7-4-4) climbed up to fourth place in the North American Soccer League's (NASL) Combined Standings after defeating the New York Cosmos (6-5-4) by a score of 2-1 at Clarke Field, Sunday, Sept. 27. Lance Laing and Daryl Fordyce both scored before the half-time break to set the home side up for victory while Marcos Senna pulled a goal back for the Cosmos from the penalty spot in the second half.
