NC Courage, Shinomi Koyama Agree to Contract Extension Through 2029 NWSL Season
June 12, 2026 - CARY, N.C. - The North Carolina Courage and midfielder Shinomi Koyama have agreed to a contract extension through the 2029 NWSL season, the club announced today. Shinomi was previously under contract through the 2027 NWSL season.
Since joining the Courage via transfer ahead of the 2025 season, Shinomi has made 36 appearances, scoring three goals and adding three assists. NC Courage, Ivy Younce Agree to Contract Extension Through End of Season
June 9, 2026 - CARY, N.C. - The North Carolina Courage and defender Ivy Younce have agreed to a fully guaranteed contract extension through the end of the 2026 NWSL season, the club announced today. Younce was previously signed to a short-term contract through June after joining the team in preseason as a non-roster invitee.
Younce made four substitute appearances through the first 11 matches of the season, helping the Courage secure three wins in those four matches.

Manaka Matsukubo Named to NWSL Best Xi for May
June 5, 2026 - CARY, N.C. - North Carolina Courage midfielder Manaka Matsukubo has been named to the NWSL Best XI of the Month, presented by Amazon Prime, for May. It is the fourth time Manaka has earned the monthly honor in her career.

Manaka Matsukubo Named NWSL Player of the Week
June 2, 2026 - CARY, N.C. - North Carolina Courage midfielder Manaka Matsukubo has been named NWSL Player of the Week, presented by AT&T, after recording a goal and an assist in the Courage's 2-1 win over Angel City, the league announced Tuesday.
Manaka assisted Evelyn Ijeh's 48' goal to open the scoring in Sunday's win before snagging the game-winner in the 78' off the assist from Riley Jackson. The weekly honor from the league is the third of Manaka's career.
