Wisconsin Wolfpack News Release
(Villa Park, Ill.) - The Wisconsin Wolfpack improved to 5-1 on the season with a 44-18 trouncing of the winless Chicago Cardinals (0-6) at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, Ill. Saturday night.
The Wolfpack outscored the Cardinals 22-6 in the first quarter to take command of the game early. Former Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Matt Schabert passed for nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Former University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse running back Eric Donoval rushed for three touchdowns and caught two more while compiling nearly 100 total yards of offense. Former North Dakota State wide receiver Marques Johnson caught six passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.
On defense, former Badger Josh Nettles had an interception and former University of Wisconsin-Platteville standout Quincy Hudson led all Wolfpack defenders with 2-1/2 tackles and also had an interception.
The Wolfpack begin a three game homestand next week against the Miami Valley Silverbacks. The game begins at 7 p.m. at the Hartmeyer Arena.
