Westchester Knicks Acquire Tuach, Waive Hooper

WHITE PLAINS, NY, Nov. 6, 2017 - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today the team has acquired guard Buay Tuach from the available player pool.

Tuach (6-6, 185) was originally selected by the Long Island Nets as the fourth pick of the second round in the 2017 NBA G League Draft. The Ethiopia native was placed on waivers by Long Island on Nov. 2, prior to the start of the regular season.

Additionally, the team has waived guard Max Hooper.

Hooper (6-6, 200) was the team's lone returner for the 2017-18 season. He appeared briefly in last night's season opener but tallied no statistics.

Westchester Knicks basketball returns to the historic Westchester County Center on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 p.m. as the team hosts the Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons' affiliate. The team will play its second game of the season on the road tonight, Nov. 6, facing the Delaware 87ers, the Philadelphia 76ers' affiliate, at 7:00 p.m. ET.
