Texas Revolution News Release

It is with great pleasure that the Texas Revolution announced a partnership with the Ford Center at The Star on Tuesday, December 18th 2018. The Ford Center will host the Revolutions home games for the next three years beginning in March of 2019. Opened in 2015, The Ford Center served primarily as an indoor practice facility for the Dallas Cowboys, but turned into an impressive centerpiece for one of North Texas's best dining and shopping venues, The Star.

"We're thrilled to welcome the Texas Revolution to the ever-growing list of exciting events held here at Ford Center at The Star," said Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President of Business Operations Chad Estis. "We look forward to giving football fans another reason to visit The Star and support a fun and family friendly environment that the Revolution will provide each week during this upcoming season and beyond."

The facility has also showcased the best high school football in Frisco by hosting weekly games between rivals in the Frisco Independent School District. Additionally, the stadium became home to Frisco's popular Major League Lacrosse team, the Dallas Rattlers, earlier this year. The Revolution are excited to fill the gap between these events and round out what is now a year-long sports experience at The Star. "Our indoor football team has progressed during each of our six seasons and a move into a world-class facility like the Ford Center is a natural fit as we enter year seven" stated Revs general manager and pro football Hall-of-Famer Tim Brown.

The Revolution will utilize only half of the 12,000 seat facility to create a new level of excitement and luxury for fans with close proximity field level seating, unique on field suites, and four beautiful skybox suites for even the most discerning football fans. Capacity for indoor football will be approximately 6,350 for the team's seven regular season home games, with the possible addition of up to two playoff games.

As the team builds new relationships with Baylor Scott & White Health along with other businesses at The Star, the Revolution are creating the perfect environment for player growth with top of the line practice, medical, workout and housing facilities.

"I expect 2019 to be the best year in the Revolution's already impressive history," said Revs head coach Victor Mann. "Players will want to make Frisco their home and we plan to build a team that will compete very successfully on the field each season while we become positive and active members of the community off the field"

The Texas Revolution are proud Members of the CIF and will kick off their seventh season in Frisco on March 24th. For more information on the teams relocation or any other topics, please visit our website at www.TexasRevs.com or call 972-422-PASS (7277).
