Talons Clinch Division Title

Tulsa Talons News Release

The Tulsa Talons clinched the Southwest Division of the American Conference with a convincing 61-48 win on the road against the Alabama Vipers Saturday night. The Talons victory combined with a loss by the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz gave the Talons a 3 game lead in the division with 2 games left in the regular season. This is the 1st division championship for the Talons in the AFL and 9th in a row including the previous eight seasons in the former af2. It is also the 11th straight season the Talons have qualified for the playoffs.

The Talons opponent in the 1st round of the playoffs is yet to be determined, but the game will be played on Saturday, August 7th at 7pm at the BOK Center. Tickets for the playoff game will go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 30th. Tickets start as low as $12. The Talons play their last regular season home game this Saturday July 24th when they take on the Arizona Rattlers at 7pm at the BOK Center. It is the United Way night presented by Channel 8.
