Stallions sign former JUCO All American Safety Lee Adams
December 7, 2006 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Springfield Stallions News Release
The Springfield Stallions have announced their second signing in as many days. On Thursday the CIFL expansion team signed Safety Lee Adams.
Adams spent the 2006 season with Bloomington of the United Indoor Football League. During his college career, he was a two year All American at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas. He finished up his last two years of eligibility at Arkansas State University. At ASU, Adams was named to the All Conference Team for the Sunbelt Conference. He also led the team in tackles with 115 in 2004.
Stallion Defensive Coordinator Kevin Gade commented, "Lee Adams is an instant impact player for our secondary. The combination of Winston Taylor shutting down the run and Adams shutting down the opposing teams passing offense is going to make our defense a force to be reckoned with."
The Springfield Stallions will begin play in the Continental Indoor Football Leagues Great Lakes Division in 2007. The Stallions will play their home games on Midwest Technical Institute Field inside the Prairie Capital Convention Center.
