St. Charles, MO - In a game that exemplified the old adage, "It ain't over 'til it's over," the St. Louis Attack defeated the Bloomington Edge 47-45 Saturday night at the Family Arena. The entire game was exciting, but the final seconds were nearly heart-stopping. The lead changed twice in the final ten seconds, with the Attack scoring the game winner, a field goal, with only one second left on the clock. The victory improved St. Louis' record to 2-1, while Bloomington dropped to 1-1.
Marcus Dickinson, Daryl Grady and Johnnie King each scored touchdowns for the Attack, while DeAndre Jackson scored two.
With ten seconds remaining on the clock, Bloomington quarterback Drew Fedrich pass to Marcus Lewis, who caught it in the end zone to give the Edge a 45-44 lead. With one second remaining, Jason Null executed a 41-yard field goal to bring the crowd to their feet and cement the 47-45 victory for the home team.
The Attack take to the road for their next contest when they travel to Marion, Ohio to square off with the Blue Racers next Saturday, April 18 at 6:00 p.m. CT at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The Attack are members of the X-League, with ten teams for 2015. The Attack have two regular-season home games remaining at the Family Arena.
