 Richmond Speed News Release
OS JEFF TOWNSLEY has been awarded Built Ford Tough honors for Week 17. The Richmond Speed Receiver turned in a Herculean effort with 14 catches for 191 yards and 3 TDs - including the game winning strike with under a minute to play. On 4th and 12 with a minute remaining, Townsley's sheer will and determination led to the most pivotal play of the season - a one-handed spectacular grab inside the ten-yard line. This highlight reel catch kept Richmond in the game, and in control of home-field advantage. The Idaho graduate simply rose to another level - one which few players at the af2 level are capable of reaching. This clutch display of leadership, tenacity, focus, concentration, and play-making firmly established Jeff as one of the most dynamic, explosive threats in the league. Richmond went on to win the biggest game of their regular season, 36-35, at Cape Fear, in a hostile environment against a formidable opponent.
