Sixth-Year Player to Make Mid-Season Impact

This week Terrance Smith will appear in his second game with the LA KISS. To start off his AFL career, he was assigned to the Jacksonville Sharks in 2010, where he excelled as a defensive back, wide receiver and kick returner for five seasons. During his 2012 season with the Sharks, Smith was named to the AFL All-Ironman Team after setting a new franchise record with 2,984 all-purpose yards over 18 games. He caught an incredible 99 passes for a team-leading 1,158 yards along with 29 touchdowns. During his final season with the Sharks, Smith earned First Team All-Arena honors as a defensive back and recorded 40.5 tackles in 14 games. So far in his career, Smith has totaled 2885.5 total tackles, 51 pass breakups and 31 interceptions. He was assigned to the LA KISS on June 3rd and recorded three total tackles in his first game of the season last week.

Before playing in the AFL, Terrence Smith signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad in 2010.

Smith, a native of Aiken, South Carolina, started all four years of his college career with the South Carolina State Bulldogs where, as a wide receiver, he caught 108 passes for 1,516 yards and 13 Touchdowns. His junior year, he started as a defensive back and tallied 26 tackles, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 13 games.
