Six Thorns FC Players Named to U.S. Women's National Team Roster for June Friendly Matches against J

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC goalkeeper Adrianna Franch, defenders Meghan Klingenberg and Emily Sonnett and midfielders Tobin Heath, Lindsey Horan and Allie Long have been named to the U.S. Women's National Team's 25-player training camp roster in preparation for matches against Japan on June 2 and June 5.

The players will arrive in Denver on May 27 in advance of the June 2 match at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. The match will be broadcast on FS1 at 6 p.m. (Pacific). The two teams will square off again on June 5 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland; kickoff for the second match is set for 9:30 a.m. (Pacific) on ESPN2. Head coach Jill Ellis will name 18 players to suit up for each match.

Heath (116 caps), Horan (16 caps), Klingenberg (61 caps), Long (6 caps) and Sonnett (9 caps) were all in U.S. Women's National Team camp in April for back-to-back friendly matches against Colombia. Returning to the fold, Long tallied her first career goal for the United States, registering a brace on April 6 in a 7-0 win.

Franch returns to camp with the United States for the first time since January 2016. This season for Thorns FC, Franch has posted a pair of shutouts in three starts, tallying 11 saves.
