Reno Bighorns to Host Winter Break Basketball and Dance Clinic

RENO, Nev. - The Reno Bighorns will host a basketball clinic at the Reno Events Center (400 N. Center St.) Thursday, Jan. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Bighorns will also hold a winter break dance clinic on Wednesday, Jan. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows (2680 E 9th St.).

The goal of the one-day basketball clinic is to develop kids ages 6 to 14 as whole players, working with all skill levels to cultivate respect, sportsmanship, and work ethic in addition to mastering the fundamentals of the game. Bighorns coaches and players will lead the clinic.

The Lady Bighorns Dance Team will host their winter break Junior Dance Clinic on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Participants will learn choreography, then be invited to perform during pre-game on Friday, Jan. 28, when the Bighorns face the Northern Arizona Suns. The clinic is open to all girls and boys ages 6-17.

Participants from each clinic will receive a Bighorns t-shirt, Bighorns swag, one tickets to the Bighorns January 5 contest and a certificate of participation. Lunch will be provided at each clinic.

Both clinics are limited to 100 youth. Each participant should bring their own water bottle, snacks, and wear proper attire.
