Northern Kentucky River Monsters News Release

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY - The Northern Kentucky River Monsters indoor football organization is pleased to announce it has partnered with the Terri Krebs Dream Foundation for Saturday's game with the Saginaw Sting.

The Terri Krebs Dream Foundation was formed in honor of Terri Krebs, a woman who had the determination and will power to fight stage- four breast cancer. In 2001, Krebs was given nine months to live, but lasted for nine years. She was a devoted mother and wife, a loving grandmother, a caring sister, and a true friend to many.

While Krebs was alive, she touched the lives of so many individuals - right up until the day she passed away on June 30, 2010. Taking into account the last nine years of battling cancer as a family, The Terri Krebs Dream Foundation was born. The foundation was formed to aid children, who have been affected by cancer and other terminal illness, through cancer research and direct aid.

"My mother touched the lives of so many people, and the forming of this foundation keeps her memory alive," said son Mark Krebs.

The River Monsters will be giving part of the proceeds from every ticket sold on game day to the Foundation, and there will be a raffle for some signed University of Kentucky memorabilia.

As for the game, the River Monsters can clinch the league's first playoff berth and put some distance between them and second place. The Sting (6-2) comes into the game on a four-game winning streak and with the league's second-best offense.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Bank of Kentucky Center on the campus of Northern Kentucky University.
