
McFadden carries Morays to 48-43 win over Kreatures

MIAMI, FL â Running back Leroy McFadden was an unstoppable force as he scored four touchdowns to lead the Miami Morays to a tough-fought 48-43 victory over the visiting Kissimmee Kreatures.
Kissimmee came out of the gates strong as they built up a 24-6 lead by the half-way mark of the second quarter, but McFadden's second touchdown, a 20-yd pass from Derrick Vickers got the score to within ten points until Miami fell back to a 16-point deficit at the half when Kissimmee receiver James Panui hauled in a 7-yd TD pass from Rob Harding.
Miami came out in the 3rd with a vengeance, getting two more touchdowns from McFadden and Lernard Mack returned Miami's third of four interceptions for a 15-yd touchdown to go ahead 34-30 as the third quarter came to a close. McFadden finished the game with one rushing yard on one attempt and four catches for 49 yards.
Kissimmee replaced quarterback Rob Harding with Rick Pykle late in the game, and Pykle responded by throwing a 6-yd touchdown pass to Thomas Simmons to pull back ahead 36-34 to begin the 4th quarter.
The two teams exchanged leads a total of 4 times in the fourth quarter, with Ethenic Sands scoring on a 18-yd touchdown reception a minute after Simmons' TD grab to retake the Morays lead 42-36.
Miami kept the lead for over eight minutes until Simmons' scored his second touchdown on the 4th quarter with 1:24 left in the game, but Vickers led the team down the field and hit Kevin Jackson with a 10-yd touchdown pass in the end-zone with :46 seconds left in the game, giving Miami their third come from behind victory this season.
Derrick Vickers finished the game 17-31 passing with one interception and five touchdown passes. Sands led all receivers with six receptions for 104 yards and running back Johnny Martin was the leading rusher with five yards on four carries.
Defensive back Quincy Sorrell led the defense with nine tackles and Arpedge Rolle finished the night with two sacks and six tackles.
With the win, the Morays extend their lead over the Daytona Beach Hawgs by one full game in the Atlantic South Division. The Morays travel to Rome to take on the Renegades before returning home on June 4th at 7:05 PM to take on the Hawgs at the Miami Arena.
