
Louisville Xtreme Adds to Wide Receiver Position

Louisville, KY. - The Louisville Xtreme have added two dynamic wide receivers to the 2021 roster with the signing of Edgar Poe and Quan Shorts.
Xtreme HC Mark Stoute was excited to have Poe and Shorts on the team.
"Edgar and Quan are two exciting young athletic receivers both with big play potential. We have added significant pieces to our offensive capability with training camp just around the corner."
Poe (6'5/215) appeared in 37 games in a four-year career at the U.S. Military Academy West Point. He caught 43 passes for 982 yards and 11 touchdowns. After he left West Point, Poe went to Portland to join the Maine Mammoths. In his rookie season, he totaled a team high 82 receptions for 710 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Shorts (6'2/195) was a First-team All-Southland Conference selection while at Northwestern State University. He established a single season school record with 100 catches and had the second-most receiving yards in a single season (994) despite playing the final 3.5 games of the season with turf toe. In two seasons, he caught 156 passes, the second-most in school history and finished with 1,536 receiving yards (11th in school history). His five 100-yard receiving games were one shy of tying the school single-season record.
The Louisville Xtreme are members of the Indoor Football League based in Louisville, Kentucky. The Louisville Xtreme coached by Mark Stoute and led by team president Chris Redman will play their 2021 home games at the Yum Center in downtown Louisville.
