FRISCO, TX--The Texas Legends announced today that they have acquired guard Gary Neal from the Westchester Knicks in exchange for Sioux Falls' third round pick in the 2017 NBA Development League Draft. The trade is pending physical.
Neal (6-4, 210, Towson) has six years of NBA experience playing 40 games with the Washington Wizards last season. In 350 career games, Neal has averaged 9.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 21.4 minutes per game. Neal went undrafted but joined the San Antonio Spurs for 80 games his rookie season where he averaged 9.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists and was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and the Rising Stars Challenge of NBA All-Star Weekend.
Neal played one game with Westchester grabbing 4 points, 1 rebound, and 1 steal in 13 minutes.
