Erie, PA- The Erie BayHawks (10-22) took down the Reno Bighorns (11-21) in the closing minutes tonight, 108-104.
After a first quarter that saw the BayHawks grab a two-point lead, Reno went on a 14-0 run midway through the second quarter to pull the BayHawks' lead within two. Erie responded with a 10-0 run of their own to close the half leading 54-42.
The Bighorns outscored the BayHawks 33-20 in the third quarter to retake the lead headed to the fourth. The fourth quarter saw 17 lead changes and six ties until Kalin Lucas hit on a three-pointer to pull ahead by one with :49.9 to play. TJ Price sealed the win on the ensuing inbounds play when he stole the inbounds pass and went full court for an uncontested layup.
Lucas led the BayHawks with 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field to go with seven assists and seven rebounds. Price added 17 points and five assists. Stephen Zimmerman posted 14 points and eight rebounds while Anthony Brown notched 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Gary Neal paced the Bighorns with a game-high 27 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the floor. Reggie Hearn had 17 points and six rebounds. Kadeem Jack added 16 points.
