Lancers Fall to Steel, 2-1

Ralston, NE - The Lancers and Steel faced off for the second time this season on Friday night. Omaha edged the Steel last Friday in Geneva winning, 6-4. The Lancers came into the matchup with a 31-12-2-1 record. Zach Driscoll got the call to play in net. Driscoll is ranked third among all goaltenders in the USHL with a 1.93 GAA and a .932 SV%.

Chicago struck first in the opening frame with a goal from Aaro Vidgren. The Steel held on the to the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

In the second period, Nick Perbix got the Lancers on the board during the power play. The game stayed tied 1-1 heading into the second intermission.

In the third period, Aaro Vidgren got his second on the night. The Lancers pulled Zach Driscoll for the extra attacker but could not capitalize. Steel took the win, 2-1.

Zach Driscoll stopped 19 of the 21 shots that he faced.

The Lancers finish Friday night with a record of 31-13-2-1 with 65 points. Omaha still sits at the top of the USHL.
