KNIGHTHAWKS AND BANDITS MEETING FOR BRUNCH

Game now a 1:30 p.m. faceoff

(March 4, 2017)... The Rochester Knighthawks will entertain the Buffalo Bandits today at 1:30 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena. The game is the second meeting between the two teams in less than 24 hours.

Scouting the Knighthawks: Last night, Rochester visited KeyBank Center in Buffalo to kick off the three-game regular-season series against the Bandits. Rochester was led by a seven-point performance from Dan Dawson (3+4). Kyle Jackson posted five points (2+3), while Jarrett Davis and Joe Resetarits each chipped in one-goal and three-assist efforts. Goalie Matt Vinc made 46 saves to surpass the 4,000 saves mark as a Knighthawk. The contest also put him at a tie with Hall of Famer Jeremy Hollenbeck for ninth place on the team's all-time games played list. Rochester (3-7) enters the contest in fifth place in the East Division.

Joe Resetarits leading the way: Fifth-year pro Joe Resetarits leads the Knighthawks in assists (22) and points (34). He is also riding a team-high 10-game point streak. Player Moves: This morning, Rochester promoted defenseman John Rae to the active roster and placed Quinn Powless on the practice squad. On Friday, the Knighthawks activated defenseman Scott Campbell and moved Wayne Van Every to the practice squad.

History of the Rivalry: Located just 60 miles apart down I-90, Buffalo is Rochester's closest and oldest rival. The teams have met 60 times during the regular season with the Knighthawks owning a 34-26 record. In the postseason, Rochester holds an 8-4 advantage.

Milestone Alert:

Dan Dawson will play in his 250th career game today.Vinc will move past Knighthawks Hall of Famer Jeremy Hollenbeck for ninth place on the team's all-time games played list with 112.

Scouting the Bandits: Buffalo has won three straight games after earning a 13-9 victory over Rochester last night at KeyBank Center. Anthony Cosmo made 41 saves to become the first goalie in NLL history to reach 7,000 saves. Dhane Smith led the way with two goals and five assists. The Bandits are now 4-5 and just one game behind second-place Toronto.

Next Game: Following this weekend's games, the Knighthawks are back in action on Friday, March 17 to battle the New England Black Wolves at 7:30 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena. The game is the third of four contests between the two teams this season. The season series is tied at one win apiece.
