Grand Rapids Drive News Release

WHITE PLAINS, NY - JAN 28, 2017 - The Westchester Knicks (13-14) took care of business against the Grand Rapids Drive (12-16) at home on Saturday night, winning by a 117-108 final.

The Knicks snapped a two-game losing streak, while the Drive, who had ended a five-game skid in their last game, dropped their sixth out of the last seven.

Damien Ingles led six Knicks in double figures with 28 points and eight rebounds and Von Wafer was also a consistent offensive presence with his 25 points.

Overall, despite a lack of three-point accuracy, the Knicks made 52 percent of their field goals compared to just 40 percent by the Drive, a major factor in the final results.

Grand Rapids had the assistance of three Pistons players in the loss. Henry Ellenson scored an efficient 29 points with nine rebounds and Darrun Hilliard scored 28 points. The other assignee, Michael Gbinije, had five points while Ray McCallum provided 13 points and 10 assists.

Westchester outscored the Drive 64-41 in the second and third quarters. The Drive tied a season high with 42 fourth-quarter points attempting a comeback, but it still was not enough.

The Drive play Delaware on the road on December 30 before returning home to rematch the Knicks on Feb. 1. That tilt with Grand Rapids will be the Knicks' next game.
