Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
Three home runs erased an early lead for the Tri-City Dust Devils (0-1, 19-20) on the road Tuesday night as the team lost 5-4 to the Spokane Indians (1-0, 20-19). Tri-City had a three-run advantage slip away in the first game of the second half of the season.
Wilfri De La Cruz delivered at the plate for the Dust Devils. De La Cruz drove in two runs and scored another for the team. Starter Will Headean suffered the loss after allowing five runs, four of them earned, in six innings of work.
Tri-City will look to get back into win column on tonight night in the middle game of the three-game series. Right-hander Jordan Guerrero will toe the rubber for the Dust Devils. Spokane will counter with right-hander Luke Lanphere. The team will return home August 4th, which will be License Plate Frame Giveaway Night presented by Lourdes Health, to begin an eight-game homestand.
