Gladiators to Open Season this Saturday at Quicken Loans Arena

CLEVELAND- The Cleveland Gladiators presented by Unique Home Solutions will embark on their 9th year in Cleveland and open the season this Saturday, April 8th at home when the team takes on the Tampa Bay Storm at 7:00 PM at Quicken Loans Arena.

The Gladiators Home Opener on Saturday will feature a magnetic schedule giveaway courtesy of Medical Mutual for the first 10,000 fans. Additionally, included in the promotion on Saturday (and every regular season home game) are $1 Pepsi products, $2 select draft beers and a post-game field party presented by University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.

In addition to the high-energy packed football that fans can look forward to, there will also be a new beer at The Q donning the Gladiators logo. 'Cleveland Gladiators Awesome IPL', produced by The Brew Kettle will be released at the Home Opener. The Brew Kettle is a favorite Northeast Ohio destination known as the state's first "Brew-On-Premise" brewpub located just southwest of Cleveland in Strongsville, OH. In addition to "The Q" and The Brew Kettle, 'Awesome' will be available at all craft beer retailers on draft and in 16 oz. 4-pack cans.

Jack Kephart, Head Brewer at The Brew Kettle added, "Our Awesome IPL (India Pale Lager) combines the clean malt flavors of beers fermented cooler with lager yeast and the big hop flavor of our India Pale Ales (IPA). We use an 'Awesome' hop variety called Galaxy from Australia which gives it a citrusy flavor with hints of tropical fruit that pop in combination with the smooth lager malt sweetness".
