Georgia's Wolfe Picks up Week 13 Honors

ROME, GA (June 24, 2014) - On Tuesday the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) announced that Georgia Fire K Lindsey Wolfe earned the Vidswap.com Week 13 Special Teams Player of the Week after his record setting 22-point performance night in Trenton.

For the second time in as many weeks, a PIFL kicker tied the league record for the most points scored and most made field goals made in a single game. Last week it was Richmond's T.C.

Stevens, this time out it's Georgia Fire K Lindsey Wolfe, who along with tying the record propelled the Fire to a 52-49 upset victory over Trenton with his game-ending 33-yard game-winning field goal.

"We have been fortunate to have some great special teams play throughout the season," says Georgia Fire General Manager Jeff Gonos. "Two instances this season in which our kickers have won the game for us, it took all 22 of Wolfe's points to help us pull out that tough game against Trenton."

Nearly blowing an 19-point lead, the Fire withstood the second-half onslaught of Trenton as Wolfe went a perfect 5 for 5 on PAT attempts, converted field goal tries of 30, 24, 39, 35, and 33, as well as two Uno's earning him the notion as the Week 13 Vidswap.com Special Teams Player of the Week. Vidswap.com is the web-based video editing and analysis application for sports organizations specializing in game exchange, video sharing, and game analysis. They serve high school, amateur, college, youth, and pro teams.

By virtue of the Lions 69-31 win over the Hammers, out the playoff race Georgia closes out their inaugural season this Friday night with an in-state division clash against Columbus.
