Georgia Force Fall to the Chicago Rush 62-27

Rosemont, IL - The Georgia Force fell to the Chicago Rush with a final game score of 62-27 in the Arena Football League's Week 15 contest held at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL .

The Rush managed to earn the first touchdown roughly 2 minutes into the game, with a 23 yard pass from QB Russ Michna to WR Reggie Gray. Michna found Gray again for a 9 yard touchdown with 2:49 left in the first quarter, pulling the Rush lead up to 14-0. The Force responded 45 seconds into the second quarter with a touchdown pass from QB RJ Archer to WR Larry Shipp. Michna found his favorite target, Gray, for the third time with a 7 yard touchdown pass with 9:43 left in the first half, pulling the Rush lead up to 21-7. With 5 seconds left in the first half, the Rush snuck in a 2 yard touchdown pass from Michna to WR Jared Perry.

The Force pulled out the first touchdown of the second half, with a 53 yard kick return by WR/KR CJ Johnson, narrowing the Rush lead to 14 points. Georgia continued the momentum with a 14 yard touchdown pass from Archer to WR Shay Hodge with 10:34 left in the third quarter. Five minutes later, Chicago answered with the second touchdown pass from Michna to Perry, pulling the Rush lead to 35-21. Just three minutes later, Michna found Perry once again with a 13 yard touchdown pass, giving the Rush a significant lead heading into the fourth quarter at 42-21.

Chicago continued to forge ahead into the fourth quarter, with a 32 yard pick six by FB/LB Kelvin Morris. A 2 yard touchdown run by QB Luke Drone pulled the Rush even further ahead to 55-21. The Chicago domination continued with a 9 yard touchdown pass from Drone to FB/LB JJ Payne with 3:29 left in the game. The Force made a final push with a 4 yard touchdown pass from Archer to WR Jake Allen, pulling the final game score up to 62-27.

The Force will be on the road next weekend, facing the Utah Blaze on Saturday, June 23rd at 9 p.m. EST at the EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah . The game will be streamed live on Ustream.
