Edge to Host Fee Football Coaching Clinic

Bloomington, IL. - The Bloomington Edge is excited to announce that they have partnered with the Bloomington-Normal Athlete factory to host a free High School football coaching clinic in conjunction with the Central Illinois High School Recruiting Showcase.
The coaching clinic will take place on Friday May 4th at the Chateau Hotel (1621 Jumer Dr, Bloomington, IL 61761) at 6:00pm. The Bloomington Edge is committed to supporting high school football and has assembled an excellent speakers list of college football coaches to present at the clinic. These guest speakers include:
Mike Harris, University of Saint Francis Defensive Line Coach
Buck Blasco, University of Pikeville Quarterback Coach
Shane Dierking, North Central College Defensive Coordinator
Todd Drury, Missouri S&T Defensive Coordinator
The Central Illinois High School Recruiting Showcase will take place the following day, Saturday May 5th, at Normal Community High School (3900 E Raab Rd, Normal, IL 61761). Registration begins at 9:00am with the drills scheduled to start at 10:00am. This event will give high school football players who are interested in playing collegiately the opportunity to meet and be evaluated by college coaches.
Colleges and Universities who have agreed to attend include Illinois State, Ferris State, St. Francis University, McKendree, Missouri S&T, Millikin, Augustana, Greenville, Hillsdale, Knox, MacMurray, North Central, Rockford, and Trine.
The session will include a dynamic warm-up led by the Bloomington-Normal Athlete Factory coaches, laser timed 40 yard dash, vertical jump test, broad jump, position specific NFL combine drills, and 1-on-1's.
Register before the showcase for a rate of $25, or register the day of the event for a price of $30.
