
Dingle Signs with AFL

(Rochester, NY)-Rochester Brigade head coach Mark Saunders announced that OL/DL Antonio Dingle has signed with the New Dragons of the Arena Football League (AFL) for the upcoming 2003 season.
"He (Antonio Dingle) was a great asset to this team playing with great intensity all year to help us make it to the playoff's," stated Saunders. "We're proud of his accomplishments and wish him the best of luck."
The 6'2, 315 lbs, Lineman out of the University of Virginia played in 15 games for the Brigade during the 2002 season, where he registered 20.5 tackles (14 solo), 9.5 sacks (team high), 6.5 tackles for a loss of yards, four forced fumbles and one pass breakup. Dingle earned the honor of being named the Built Ford Tough Player of the game by his coaches on three occasions (4/19/02 Mohegan, 5/24/02 Greensboro and 6/08/02 Richmond).
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Dingle in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft before playing in nine games with the Green Bay Packers. He spent the following two seasons with the Scottish Claymores in the NFLEL (NFL Europe League) before joining the Brigade in 2002.
