Dallas Marshals Sign 7 from Invite Only Tryout

MESQUITE, Texas. The Marshals signed seven from they invite only tryout three veterans (RB-Shawn Jordan, OL-William Hackney and QB-Kewan Newberry) and four rookies (QB-Edward Baker, WR-TJ Hill, DB-Matthew Dash and DB-Shakeem Taylor) they hosted on November 20 to the Marshals 2017 camp roster.
Jordan (RB, 5' 11", 220, UVA-Wise) rejoins the Marshals for his 2nd CIF season and second in Dallas. Last season, Shawn competing in five regular season games for the Marshals.
Hackney (OL, 6' 4" 320 Oklahoma Panhandle State University) joins the Marshals for his 1st season in the CIF and 1ST season with the Marshals. William played two years in the IFL.
Dewberry (QB, 6' 0" 220 Morris Brown College) joins the Marshals for the time but his 5th year in the Indoor game. Dewberry played for the Texas Revolution last year and also played for the Allen Wranglers and Lexington Horsemen.
Taylor (DB, 5' 10" 190, Southwestern Assemblies of God University) joins the Marshals for his 1st season in the CIF.
Matthew Dash (DB, 5' 11" 188, University of North Texas) joins the Marshals for his 1st season in the CIF. At UNT
2014: ¬Â¢ Saw action in five games, notching seven total tackles and 0.5 TFLJunior College: ¬Â¢ Was named to the Southern California Football Association All-Pacific Conference first-team in 2013 ¬Â¢ Was the second leading tackler for LA Pierce with 45, to go along with two sacks, two tackles for loss and one interceptionHigh School: ¬Â¢ Played quarterback and safety at Willingboro High School in New Jersey ¬Â¢ Rushed for eight touchdowns and nearly 500 yards while passing for nearly 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns his senior season in leading Willingboro to a 10-1 record ¬Â¢ As a junior, Dash had 12 interceptions on defense ¬Â¢ Played in the Adam Taliaferro Blue-White All-Star Classic after his senior year in high school
Baker (5' 9" 190, Lon Morris JC) joins the Marshals for his 1st season in the CIF. Baker is a product of the Dallas Marshals development football league the Mesquite Indoor Football League
Hill (WR, 6'1" 185) joins the Marshals for his 1st season in the CIF. Hill is a product of the Dallas Marshals development football league the Mesquite Indoor Football League
