The Canton Charge, presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, have acquired guard Jon Octeus from the available player pool. The move puts Canton's roster at 10 players, with the addition coming as a result of John Holland's call-up to the Boston Celtics.
Octeus (6-4, 170, Purdue) was selected as the third pick in the fifth round of the 2015 NBA Development League Draft by the Texas Legends. Prior to the start of the season, he was acquired by the Oklahoma City Blue via trade and placed on waivers.
Octeus appeared in 34 games as a senior at Purdue (all starts) and averaged 9.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 28.7 minutes per contest. He will be available for tonight's Game 2 in Sioux Falls and wear number 22.
