Acadiana Cane Cutters News Release
The Acadiana Cane Cutters defeated the Texas Marshals 8-5 on Thursday to take the second game of a four game series.
It took a little while for the Cane Cutters offense to get going, and after being down 2-0 going into the bottom of the fourth, Acadiana finally put a run on the board, with four more in the fifth.
Texas was able to score three runs in the seventh, tying the game at five, but a score in the seventh and two in the eight proved too much for the Marshals and Acadiana improved to 22-9 on the season.
Cobie Vance, out of Alabama had an outstanding night, getting four hits and garnering four RBI's while scoring a pair as well.
Acadiana will return to Fabacher Field tomorrow night at 7 p.m. to try to take the series.
